Our journey: From Family Legacy to Industry Leadership

Founded in 2009, Hestia Construction emerged from a partnership with AgeCare to develop, design, and build innovative multi-generational senior living communities. As a family-owned and operated business under the AgeCare umbrella, Hestia was named after the Greek Goddess of Hearth and Home—a reflection of our commitment to building community-centered spaces that prioritize dignity, connection, and belonging.

The Aging-in-Place Revolution: From our inception, Hestia played a pioneering role in evolving the ‘aging-in-place’ model—enabling individuals, families, and seniors to live in interconnected communities offering diverse lifestyle options and a full continuum of care. This philosophy continues to guide every project we undertake.

Strategic Growth & Expansion: Since 2009, Hestia has successfully completed four large campus developments for AgeCare and two major commercial projects for Aspire Developments. Our portfolio now spans healthcare, residential, and commercial sectors across Alberta and British Columbia. Over the past 16 years, we’ve expanded to include full-service corporate office spaces, industrial warehouses, and complex multi-phase campus developments.

Portfolio Diversity: Our major campus developments feature commercial spaces of varying complexity, affordable rental units for low-income families, market-rate rentals for staff, 55+ independent living units, and luxury-style residential buildings—all designed with meticulous attention to community needs and regulatory requirements.

Today’s Hestia: While we evolved from design-build roots, Hestia today focuses exclusively on construction and project management excellence. This focused approach allows us to deliver specialized expertise in healthcare facility construction, commercial development, and multi-family residential projects without distraction.
